Mount Kenya
Located south of the equator, Mount Kenya is the second-highest mountain in Africa after Kilimanjaro. Added to the UNESCO world heritage site list in 1997, this long-extinct volcano stands tall at the height of 17, 022 feet. This majestic mountain in Kenya is often overshadowed by the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro which lies just 400 km away. Mount Kenya is less crowded with spectacular scenes, easy to trek, and deserves all the attention from adventure lovers.
